When I walked into our playroom last night, this is what I saw. How sweet!
It's never too early to start reading!

Memorial Day Weekend

Mikey got to spend some time with his Nona and Pops this weekend. He even got to visit with his cousin Kylie for a short time. I love it when my parents come to town because my dad works on our yard and mom and I go shopping! We couldn't shop as long as we normally do (because I'm still nursing Mikey), but we still managed to get Mikey some cute clothes for the fall. Ryan and I even got to go out to dinner by ourselves while mom and dad babysat!

Thanks, Dad, for all your work on the yard! It looks great!

One of my favorite things

I absolutely love waking Mikey up every morning. At night he is swaddled up tight in a miracle blanket, so when I wake him up he is ready to stretch out. It always takes him a few minutes to wake up, and I love watching him! Isn't he the cutest???

A Special Message from Mikey

Hey Everybody!

Yesterday was my 2 month birthday! Can you believe what my parents got me...a trip to the doctor's office to get my first set of shots. Oh yippee! Dr. G. began to poke and prod all over me and I thought what in the world is going on. As I heard him tell my mommy and daddy that I was absolutely perfect, I gave Dr. G a wink. My parents always tell me I'm perfect and it was nice to hear somebody else say it too! While we were there, the nurse told my mommy to drop my britches. I was shocked at what she said. Anyways, my cold rump was placed on the scale and I weighed a whopping 11 pounds and 3 ounces! My mommy began to cheer as if she had won the lottery! The nurse also measured how long I am. Now, before I tell you the results I do have to remind you that I am vertically challenged. I get that from my dad. Right now I am 23 and 3/4 inches long! Yes, I know what you're thinking. I will be an NBA player very soon! Then, can you believe she had the nerve to tell my mommy it was time for not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 painful shots! I saw my mommy cringe when she said that. Before I could say, Mr. Snufflelufagus I felt 4 quick pricks in my legs. I layed there silent for a moment and all of a sudden, it was like someone stole my paci and I began to whail. As we left, I thought, I did not like that one bit, but I was so glad that my mommy and daddy were there to hold me. Daddy took a day off work just to come with me and mommy. I'm so glad he did.

Here's a picture of me that mommy and daddy took today. I don't know why, but they always like to take a picture of me every month sitting in this chair. I guess I'd better get used to it!

Happy Mother's Day

So, my first Mother's Day and guess what Mikey gave me??? A new air conditioning unit!!! Isn't that the sweetest thing ever? He sure does know how to show his love for me. :)

Friday night Ryan and I noticed that our house was not getting cool. So, Saturday morning we called a repair man, and after checking things out he told us that we needed a whole new unit. This is the second time since we've lived here that something has gone wrong with it, so I'm not surprised that we needed a new one. It's supposed to be energy efficient, and I'm expecting really low electricity bills (yeah, right). Needless to say, Saturday afternoon we did not stay at home. Our house was 86 degrees! I'm just glad that the cool front came through...and that this didn't happen in July!

Here's a picture of it. The repair man actually tried to tell me that it was really nice looking. I personally think it is still a big ugly box. What do you think?

Mikey loves to lay on his tummy. Look at how well he can lift his head! I am one proud momma!
