4 Month Pictures

Here are some of the pictures we had taken of Mikey. Ryan and I were the dorky parents making all kinds of noises and faces just to get him to smile! Of course, when we got home he smiled all afternoon long! What a little stinker!

Some people don't love the bumpers!

This afternoon, when I went to wake Mikey up from his nap this is what I saw.

We took the bumpers out of Mikey's crib when he was about 2 months old because one night his face was smashed up against one. It scared Ryan half to death! He is Mr. Safety Patrol. So there was no question about it...those bumpers were out of there. I'm thinking that we might have to put them back.

Look, he's becoming a thumb sucker. Oh well, it helps him sleep.

Breaking News

Mikey rolled over today! WOO HOO!

He did it during his nap. I was watching him on the video monitor (my favorite baby item) and he was laying on his side. Then, all of a sudden he was able to flip over to his belly. He was so cute! His head came up and he just looked all around his room. He stayed there for a few minutes then I came in and got him up.

Yay Mikey! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!

Ryan's soccer girls had a tournament this weekend. It was close by so I brought Mikey along to cheer them on for one of the games. I can't wait for fall weather. Then the game will be much more enjoyable!

4 months

On Monday Mikey was 4 months old! He had his check-up and more shots. He didn't cry too much at the doctor's office, but later that night he did run a fever. But it wasn't too bad.

Here are his stats:

Weight: 13 lbs. 1 oz (25%tile)

Height: 25.3 in. (75%tile)

Head: 16.5 in. (50%tile)

He's still not rolling over yet. Our doctor showed us how to position his arms while he is on his tummy so that he will be able to roll over. We've been practicing it a lot but no luck! I'll be sure and let you all know when he does.

Last night was his first time eating rice cereal. He was too cute! I'm not sure how much of it he actually ate, but he was sure fun to watch!

Let's go swimming!

Last night we took Mikey swimming for the first time. He was a little unsure of everything and the water was a little cool, but overall he did great! I know that next summer we will be spending lots of time in the pool.



Mikey doesn't really know what to think of all this water! It's the biggest bath he's ever had!

Happy 4th of July!

We hope everyone had a great 4th! Poor Mikey, he doesn't know how cute he looks! I have a feeling that later in life he will be embarrassed by these pictures! But, who can resist?!
