North Pole Express

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, we went to the North Pole. It was so much fun! The kids were encouraged to wear their pjs and everybody sang Christmas carols the whole time. Santa even came aboard when we arrived.

Naptime or playtime?

Yesterday afternoon during Mikey's nap, he talked and played the whole time. I could hear him screaming and making all kind of noises. It cracked me up! When I went in to get him up I saw what he had been doing. He not only threw his blanket out of the crib (which he does occasionally) but he took his pants off.

See?!? His pants and blanket are on the floor! No wonder he was having such a good time!

Shameless Braggin'

When I picked Mikey up from his babysitter's house on Friday, I got this special treat. She helped Mikey color these especially for me! So precious!

Halloween 09

If you guessed that Mikey was going to be a Dalmatian for Halloween then you were right! He was the cutest little Dalmatian I've ever seen!

Earlier that day, we carved our jack-o-lantern. Can't have a Halloween without one!

Pumpkin Patch

No October is complete without a visit to a Pumpkin Farm. This weekend the weather was perfect so we decided to take the opportunity to go. Mikey loved it!

Halloween Sneak Peek

We put Mikey in his Halloween costume tonight just for fun. He loved it! We walked up and down the street. This will be Mikey's first year to get to trick-or-treat. In just a few short weeks, you'll be able to see the whole costume.

Just before bedtime the other night, the house was quiet. Normally, that's a sign that Mikey is getting into something, but not this time. I caught him "reading" his books!

Mikey loves to scream....ALL THE TIME!!! After he does it, he puts his finger in front of his lips and says, "SHHHH." It always makes me laugh.

First Day of School

What a difference a year makes! This is what Mikey looked like last year when Ryan and I started back to school.

And this is what he looked like this year! Where did my baby boy go?

When Ryan mowed the grass yesterday Mikey watched through the windows. This has become a weekly habit with us. When I took this picture Mikey was trying to knock on the window to get Ryan's attention. It was so sweet.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. We spent our morning downtown at the parade. There was also a car show going on and an ice cream crank off. We have already introduced Mikey to ice cream and he LOVES it, so we knew we had to take this opportunity to sample as many ice cream flavors as possible. We ended our day with family and friends eating hamburgers and hot dogs. I think that next year we'll do the fireworks....gotta have something to look forward to, right?!

Aquarium

We spent the day at the Aquarium. I'm not sure Mikey really understood where he was, but it was certainly fun. We will definitely do that again when he gets older.

Here we watched a lady cleaning one of the tanks. Mikey was in awe of this!
