Father's Day

We think Mikey had a stomach bug this weekend (nice Father's Day present, huh!). Yesterday he had a BIG spit up. When I say big, I mean get out the towels and wipe it up off the floor. Ryan was holding him and they both had to change clothes! YUCK! We thought it was strange, but he has done it once before so I brushed it off as wierd, but not really anything to worry about. Then Ryan and I went to Super Target (in search of size 1-2 Pampers Swaddlers... I can't find them anywhere!) and he spit up a lot there too. We ran out of there as fast as we could. I'm sure the people who saw us running thought we were crazy! When we got home, I called my doctor's office and talked to the on-call nurse (Why do these things always happen on the weekends?). She said to watch him and make sure he wasn't getting dehydrated. He could have a stomach bug, but there is nothing he can take at his age. After the next feeding, he did fine. No spit up or anything. So we put him to bed as usual. Then this morning, when I woke him up he was burning up! So, we took his temp. and it was 101.2! YIKES!! I gave him Infant Tylenol and he hasn't had any more fever. Even though he had a temp Mikey has acted just like his chipper 'ole self not even any big spit ups. It just broke my heart to see that temperature that high. Poor baby!
Here are some pictures of Mikey and Ryan playing and enjoying Ryan's first Father's Day!

I'm adding this picture in just for fun. This is the best shot we got, and let me tell you we tried to get a cute one. I think we will leave it up to the professionals. Mikey looks like he is scared to death! Not to mention Ryan's lips look funny too. :)

3 months!

I cannot believe that we have had Mikey in our lives for 3 months! It seems like he has been apart of our little family for forever. We are just loving every minute we have with him.

Here are some of the things we love about him.....

*Watching him on his tummy! (See previous post)

*The coos that he makes--it sounds like he is really trying to tell us something important.

*He has discovered his hands and will stare and them and he loves it when I hold his hands, well actually he holds my thumbs (again, see previous post).

*We love his smile! He's not quite laughing yet, but we know he is trying too. He just makes these noises when he smiles and we know he is trying to get that laugh out.

*He is almost rolling over. When I put him on his tummy, he just kicks his feet. He can almost roll over to his side, but then he goes back to his tummy.

*Ryan and I love holding him (of course!).

*We love watching him look out the windows.

*Whenever we are out and about, he is always watching me. He used to just sleep when I would be out, but not anymore!

*He is such a great sleeper (WOO HOO)! He is sleeping from 7:30pm-6:00ish am. I do still feed him around 10:00, but I don't really wake him up.

*Recently, he has started to scratch his head. While that is very cute, his hair comes out when he does that. Not to mention that he has a big bald spot on the back of his head where he sleeps. Do they make Hair Club for Men for babies?

*Everybody always tells us how beautiful he is, and we have to agree!

Milestones

Here are some fun pictures of Mikey! His neck muscles are really getting stronger. There are times when we lay him on his tummy and I am certain he is going to roll over. He's not there yet, but I know it won't be much longer. He just kicks his feet so hard. It is too cute!

Yesterday I was holding him in my lap and he was just looking at my hands and his hands. It is amazing to watch him discover new things.

E.T. Phone Home

Mikey had a special visitor last night just before bedtime!
